How do you know if a prospect is a real premium client… or just a price hunter in disguise?
Here are the 5 signals that never lie!
–>Signal 1: They ask about the process, not the price.
A premium client wants to understand how you work, how you think, how you create transformation. They are focused on outcome and structure. A price hunter is focused on one thing only: the lowest possible number.
–>Signal 2: They have already done their research.
A premium client references specific projects, specific positioning elements and specific results. They chose you intentionally! A price hunter sends the same request to ten providers and waits for the cheapest reply.
–>Signal 3: They talk about results; not deliverables.
They say, “I want to elevate my positioning,” not “I need a logo.” Premium clients think in terms of impact and leverage; not tasks and checklists!
–>Signal 4: They respect your time.
They schedule properly, confirm meetings, communicate clearly. From the very first interaction, they treat you like an expert, not a vendor!
–>Signal 5: Their budget aligns with ambition.
They do not immediately ask for discounts. They ask whether their investment matches the level of transformation they want. That subtle shift changes the entire dynamic!
When I learned to identify these signals, I stopped wasting energy on misaligned prospects. I qualify within minutes. If I do not see at least three out of five, I know we are not aligned; and I move on!
Because premium positioning is not about convincing everyone; it is about selecting the right level!
