“My clients don’t value my work.”
I hear this all the time!!
And every single time, I answer the same thing: it’s not that your clients don’t value your work; It’s that you’re attracting the wrong clients!
If you build your business in a price-driven market, you will naturally attract people who compare, negotiate and focus on paying as little as possible. That’s how that segment works. It’s not personal, it’s structural!
Clients who are shopping based on price will never fully value your expertise, no matter how good you are. To them, the service feels replaceable. If someone else can “do something similar” for less, that’s what they’ll focus on.
They are not looking for the cheapest execution; They are looking for confidence, strong positioning, and results… They want someone who feels established and aligned with their level. They don’t want to manage you; They want to trust you!
So when you keep saying: “people don’t want to pay,” what’s often happening is that you’re speaking to a market trained to optimize for price…
When you shift your positioning, your communication and your overall client experience to speak to premium clients, everything changes: You stop defending your prices, you stop arguing about discounts; You start having strategic conversations about outcomes and transformation!
The problem isn’t that no one values quality; the problem is that you might still be marketing to people who are not looking for it…
Are you attracting clients who want the cheapest option, or clients who want the right one?
