It’s been a while I had in mind to visit the Provence, as I actually live next to it! But you know how it is, you have your wedding season, it’s a crazy summer, and then during winter, I’m in Dubai, and then you have a worldwide pandemic etc… And we don’t have time to go for a visit of wedding venues.
So, this summer was the good one. We are not too busy (I work mainly with Americans on the French Riviera, so the most of our weddings are postponed in 2022), and we feel the good vibes in the air for the next year. Believe it or not, but I’ve never been in Provence, or just quickly for sessions or meetings! It was definitely time for me to explore this part of my country and its amazing wedding venues!
I called a few friends in the industry to give me advices about THE venues to discover, THE places to go, and I toke my phone. I was so delighted to see how welcoming and happy to meet me the most of them were! Considering the short timing, as I tried to organize the trip, I definitely have to thank all of them for their flexibility.
So, this Wednesday morning, I toke my small Smart Car, and on the road again to visit these incredible wedding venues in Provence!
I started my trip by a venue I’ve seen so much on social medias. I met Anca, the owner, years ago when I was speaker for the Wedd’Challenge in Marseille. We immediately spend a good moment, and then the time flies! It was the perfect opportunity to finally discover her venue. And what a venue! A gem with just the top of the iceberg out of earth.

I had only one meeting this Thursday, but it was like if I had felt it! At the second I arrived at the Chateau de la Messardiere – Airelles St Tropez with my friend Stephane M., I knew it wasn’t going to be possible to just stay one hour and leave.
Letitia welcomed us and organized a private visit for us, and every door we opened, every new place we discovered was a “WOW!”.

Day 3 was the most crazy. Believe it or not, but I visited 4 venues. And all of them so different and magic! The first one was Le Beauvallon, in Sainte Maxime, and as a detail addict, I can say I was in paradise. The building is full of pieces of art, and the story behind every of them is incredible.

Ok, let’s be honest, if I had to choice a place on earth to completely cut from everything, I think it would be here. Not a noise, the total calm, the Provence the way you imagine it, and in the middle of an adorable village in Luberon. I felt in love with the pool, the Lavande, the view…

I think the first time I’ve seen a picture of a wedding next to the pool of the Bastide de Gorges, I felt in love with this place. The medieval style of the decor and inspiration, but of course… The view! The sunset on the horizon, mix between Provence and Tuscany, and the Coocooning style mixed with luxury… I was so excited going there finally! And what an adorable and kind welcome! The team is amazing, with a little surprise in my car with a few French Macarons, as I said quickly that I was hungry as I didn’t have ate from the day before. All in the details!

I finished my trip by the last but definitely not the least Chateau de Tourreau, the “Chateau des Stars”, as it welcomed the Joe Jonas’Brothers and Sophie Turner’s honeymoon. But definitely, I understand their choice! What a piece of paradise, in the middle of nowhere, in the calme, but still with the elegance and history of a castle.
