After having been doing this job for 10 years, I can affirm that my main concern about my business is to optimize ever step of my process as much as possible.
As a photographer, I simply earn money when I shoot. Not when I do my accounting, not when I design the quotes or when I care about my Instagram. Even if, of course, all these small steps contribute to find clients, to find contracts, to do shoot and then to earn money.
So I made sense to try to optimize all these steps for be to be able to have more time and focus more on shooting.
I don’t remember at all how I found this platform, maybe through a book I’ve read. In any case, this platform put in touch entrepreneurs and freelancers, in many domains. From designers, to retouchers, to translators, illustrators, community manager etc… You can easily find someone depending of your needs.
On my side, I found there my Arabic translator and teacher, and my copywriter. Also a retoucher for some deep retouch when needed.
Ok, it’s a bit cliché. But actually, it depends how you use it. If you use the professional version of it, it can be an amazing tool. You can send an auto-message when you are closed, you can register different templates and even organize a kind of bot.
As I’m obsessed by the optimization, I prefer one million times a partners or a client to contact me by Whats’app when it’s about a quick question or any needs. I realized we spent so many times writing e-mails with many polite figures, just to ask one specific question.
I actually also have it open on my laptop on the second screen (you have a device version), and it makes my life easier as I can just take a look on a message since I’m working on something else and decide if it’s urgent or not.
Let’s just to conclusion.
Oh yes, I’m not different, I hate having to spend an hour every day working on my next Post on Instagram. You think about what to post, what is relevant with your current feed, what are the colors you are looking for… and in the end you don’t post anything.
It’s longer and more complicated to do that every single day than to take one hour per week to organize the next posts. I’ve tried many apps, and PREVIEW is my favorite so far!
