The French Riviera (known as Côte d’Azur) is the Mediterranean coast of southeastern France that spreads from Toulon to the Italian border. It includes many popular cities, such as Nice, Cannes, Monaco, Antibes, Saint-Tropez and Menton!
It’s a stunning place and is definitely perfect to have your destination wedding. It pretty much has everything! From the luxury hotels, breath-taking beach resorts and picturesque villages! I’m going to tell you about my top 6 best venues! I find them aesthetic and sets the party mood just right!
The Weather on The French Riviera
Who wants it to rain on their wedding day? Unless you’re hopeless romantic and would like to invite your partner for a dance under the rain, then you’re just like most of us who don’t want rain on that special day. Well, let me assure you, the French Riviera is one of the sunniest spots in France with more than 2700 hours of sun per year! Perfect for weddings, right?
My Top 6 Venues to Get Married On The French Riviera
Now let’s get to the part you’ve been waiting for! This article is not sponsored by any of these venues! It’s my honest opinion and I’m sharing it with you! For each, I’ll tell you a brief about the city and what you can enjoy (besides your wedding of course!)
The first one is a five-star luxury resort hotel located in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. Let’s start off with an interesting fact: the hotel was able to earn the “Palace de France” certificate from the French government back in 2011! It’s a majestic venue that will guarantee you an outstanding experience! Your guests would love it as well!
Perhaps you’re wondering how many guests the hotel can host. To save you hours of searching, I did this on your behalf! Here are the exact numbers:
- If it’s inside the hotel, it can host up to 160 guests in the reception! It can host up to 100 guests in Salon Ferrat.
- If it’s outside, it can host up to 200 guests and as many as 120 people for a seated dinner in Club Dauphin.
We’re visiting Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat again! This time it’s Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild, located right in the heart of the French Riviera! It overlooks the beautiful blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea. It has a signature color which is pink! Imagine having a breathtaking wedding full of pink! Feels like it’s right out of a Disney princess film, right?
Did you know the villa first opened its doors back in 1912? It also has nine themed gardens that are well-maintained throughout the year! How many the villa can host, you’re asking? Let’s get into it!
- It can host up to 230 guests inside for a seated dinner.
- It can host up to 300 guests outside for a seated dinner.
Things you can enjoy in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat
Now let’s briefly talk about this amazing spa resort, located just a few kilometers away from Monaco and Nice! Here are a few things you can do there:
- Private sightseeing tours, as it has many interesting museums to visit!
- You can go on a hike! I recommend you wear sneakers!
- Visit Paloma Beach and enjoy a tan! This beach is one of the best in the French Riviera!
The stunning 5-star Hotel du Cap Eden Roc is located in Antibes. It is 4 km from Musée Picasso and 15 km from Cannes! This hotel has been hosting weddings ever since 1870! You can have your wedding privately there, as the hotel provides private coastline, stunning gardens, and wide spaces! It’s also perfect if you want to keep your guests entertained, as it provides tennis games between pine trees, and yoga/fitness classes!
The capacity of this venue is pretty big! Here are the exact numbers:
- 550 people seated
- 300 people in buffet
- 700 people standing
A little tip if you want to enjoy some calmness along with your partner in Antibes, I highly recommend you walk through the streets of this Greek Old Town! The narrow streets and the old buildings are charming and delightful, you can also feel the cool breeze blowing in from the coast!
Where celebrations are hosted since 2000, and deep in the beautiful French Riviera, Chateau Saint-Martin & Spa is located. This place is perfect for relaxing, specially if you tend to be a little stressed when the date of your wedding is near. You can simply enjoy a spa treatment along with your loved one. The rooms of the chateau are splendid, and well-decorated with a historical touch.

- It can take up to 150 people seated.
- It can take up to 200 people standing.
Chateau Saint-Martin is located in Vence, and let me tell you, the quaint cobblestone streets truly are mesmerizing! If you’d like to go on a museum date with you loved one, then Musee de Vence it is! Hopefully, during your stay, there’d be some of Picasso’s work on display!
Chateau de la Chévre d’or based in Eze is only a short drive from Nice! If you’re in love with pastel colors, then this is the right place for you! You can find gardens filled with sculptures, waterfalls, trees, and fountains!
It’s the perfect venue if you want your wedding surrounded by the scents of jasmine, bougainvillea, and roses! What about the capacity?
- It can take up to 100 people seated.
- It can take up to 120 people standing.
Another 5-star hotel in Eze! A wedding at Cap Estel is just like living in a fairytale. You’ll be surrounded by both the blue waves and the amazing green gardens. The hotel itself is an impressive mansion with elegant furniture and high ceilings! It can take up to 70 guests!
A little tip to enjoy more stunning views of Eze, go to “The Bella Vista” to enjoy some splendid views of the Eze village!
