7 years ago, I accepted that I might lose all my clients…
Not because my business was failing, but because it was working… and I had hit a ceiling!
On paper, everything looked solid: bookings were steady, revenue was consistent, my calendar was full… From the outside, it looked like success: and that apparent success was exactly what was limiting me!
To generate serious income in France with the level of taxation we have, I had to multiply volume; more weddings, more weekends, more travel, more hours. I was selling time, and time does not scale!
If I wanted to grow, there were only two real options: work more, or reposition entirely.
Working more was not ambition, it was a structural limit!
The clientele I was targeting at that time did not have the financial flexibility to follow the level I wanted to reach. I could refine my experience, elevate my standards, strengthen my brand… but I was still operating inside the same ecosystem.
And ecosystems create ceilings!
So I made a decision that looked irrational from the outside: I relocated across the country to place myself where my ideal clients actually were.
Not for comfort; not for lifestyle, not for image: for positioning!
I deliberately chose to operate in a market where higher budgets were normal, where expectations were elevated, where the level forced me to upgrade everything…
And yes, I knew I might lose the stability I had built, I knew some clients would not follow and I knew I was stepping into uncertainty!
But staying would have guaranteed stagnation…
Premium positioning is not built by slightly increasing prices inside the same room; it is built by aligning your environment with your ambition!
Once I operated where my next level was coherent; growth stopped feeling forced and started feeling structural.
Let me ask you something different: if nothing changes in your ecosystem for the next three years, will your income realistically double?
