I am back from 2 very busy months and today we’re talking about what brides truly want from their wedding photography. Spoiler alert: it’s not just about the perfect frame or lighting. The industry is constantly changing, and I have learned so much these past 2 months about bride’s preferences and what they really want for this and the next few seasons. Brides want:
1. To Be Pretty
More and more brides are focused on how they look, especially for Instagram. They’re less concerned with the technicalities of frame and light, as long as they look stunning. Brides are also very aware of popular wedding blogs and aspire to be featured. They want to look pretty and definitely sexy.
Pro Tip: Schedule an official bridal session. Dedicate one hour to focus solely on the bride, ensuring she looks her absolute best.
2. Cool Group Pictures
Group pictures are evolving. Brides want less formal and more fun, creative shots with their friends, not only with their bridesmaid and family. Think sexy, spontaneous, and full of life!
Pro Tip: Have a designated photographer for guest shots and set up a spontaneous photo corner with perfect lighting and background.
Trend ALERT!: Keep an eye on trends like the Kardashian Photobooth—white background, strong light, and black-and-white photos.
3. A Photo and Video Team Working Well Together
Brides love it when the photo and video teams work together seamlessly. This ensures the day flows smoothly and all moments are captured beautifully. It also helps the bride feel more comfortable when she sees the team works well together.
4. To Receive Content Quickly
In the age of instant gratification, brides want their photos quickly. Offering a sneak peek or even an option for delivery within 48 hours can make a huge difference. Be aware of the content creator trend and adapt quickly, we will talk about this soon!
