What do you think about when I say “posing”? You imagine something super fixed, with no emotions, very strict and the opposite of natural.
I have a good news, posing doesn’t mean frizzing! I’m actually fascinating by Posing (I actually wrote a book for photographers about the couple session and how to pose the couple!), and how we can manage to enhance the body (of my brides of course) just by a few details and tips. I’m convinced that EVERY WOMAN (and even more every bride) can be beautiful and have an incredible face and body on her wedding pictures, even when you think you are not a professional model or whatever.
I’ll be delighted to share some of my tips, in this post but as well in the future, as Posing is definitely my thing ;p

IT’S ALL ABOUT THE LINE – Bend your knee!

The body is similar to a line, with curves here and there. By bending a knee, you create a beautiful curve coming from you shoulders to your feet, forcing your hips to balance on the side. It’s like magical, and even if you have a fluffy dress, thinking that your legs will be hidden any way, just bending a knee will change all the dynamic of your body (and will make you feel sexy!).

STAY STRAIGHT – sit at the beginning of the kosha

It’s 100% natural for us to relax a bit our back after 2 hours sitting on the kosha smiling to your audience. To be sure to stay straight and have a beautiful posture, you can actually sit at the very beginning of the bench, and you’ll keep your back perfect for the rest of the evening! And yes, it works also for the preparation (make-up, hairstyle etc…) 😉

BE NATURAL – It works I promise

I totally hear you, and you want to be sublime on your wedding pictures, it’s a fact, and we, as photographers, do our best for you to love yourself on your images! But after 12 years doing this job, I can tell you something; a bride has never been more beautiful than when she is herself! A natural and spontaneous smile, a real hug from the heart or just sharing your happiness with your loved ones will give this little extra magic to your pictures.
