My dear #maddysbrides,
Greetings, fellow soon-to-be-weds! It’s that time in your wedding planning adventure when you must address the age-old question: how many photographers does it take to capture the magic of your big day? Don’t worry; we’re here to untangle this photographic puzzle with a sprinkle of my french humor and a lot of practical insight.
1. Guest Count and Venue Size: The Math We Never Wanted
Let’s start with the numbers game. If your guest list could rival a royal gala, and your venue is more labyrinthine than a hedge maze, you might just need more photographers than you have relatives. It’s like trying to fit Cinderella’s shoe on a stepsister β it just won’t work without a little fairy godmother magic! Consider also the fact that some of your guest may not want to be photographed, it does change everything! You can have 1000 guests, if none of them want to be captured, it’s definitely useless to have an army of photographers!
2. Comprehensive Coverage: From PJs to Tuxedos, We Got You
Your wedding day isn’t just a sprint; it’s a marathon relay of events. From pre-dawn hair curling to the grand finale chicken dance, it’s a rollercoaster of emotions and activities. Multiple photographers mean you can capture every eye-watering laughter and every dance move that rivals a jellyfish’s rhythm.
3. Simultaneous Events: The Balancing Act We Didn’t Sign Up For
Do you have more events happening at once than a multitasking octopus? Then you’re in luck! Multiple photographers can split like an amoeba, capturing every thrilling moment from your heartfelt vows to that unexpected cake smash. It’s like having your cake and photographing it too.
4. Backup and Contingency: When Life Gives You Lemons, Hire Extra Photographers
Let’s face it, life loves throwing curveballs, especially on important days. Having a backup plan β aka an extra photographer β is like having an umbrella for a sunny day, just in case a rainbow wants to show off. Nothing says “I do” like being ready for anything, even if it’s just a surprise pop quiz.
5. Budget Considerations: No, We Can’t Accept Monopoly Money
Remember, weddings aren’t just about the money, but they’re not entirely a charity gala either. Balancing your budget and photography dreams can feel like trying to dance in a straight jacket. Consider your financial flexibility!
6. Photographer’s Experience: Talent Trumps the Number Game
While we’re all for mathematical marvels, the photographer’s experience is what truly makes the pixels pop. A magician with a camera can juggle moments like a pro, whether they’re a one-(wo)man show or a tag-team duo. Choose wisely, because their skill is what will transform your day into pixels of perfection, but more important, trust her/him! If they say you DON’T need 10 photographers, it means you really don’t, and she/he will be totally capable to cover everything with the number of photographers they suggest
SPECIAL EXTRA TIP: Hiring several different companies is NOT the way to handle with your fears of not having enough photographers. It’s actually to total opposite! More companies means more mess and less good pictures (and an horrible experience for your photographers). Take the one you prefer, ask as many photographers as necessary, and enjoy the day!
So, dear soon-to-be newlyweds, remember that while the number of photographers matters, the real magic happens when you and your partner stand side by side, ready to embark on this grand adventure called marriage. Whether you opt for a solo artist or a photography ensemble, what truly counts are the memories you make β and the photos that make you smile, laugh, and maybe even cry happy tears. Cheers to your picture-perfect journey! πΈβ¨
Love you,
Maddy
